Think of orgonite as little factories that work around the clock, transmitting good juju and neutralizing bad juju — like electromagnetic frequencies or EMF from electric appliances, radiation from wifi, cell phones, microwaves — ovens, smart meters.

Years ago, I listened to a Sharon Schloss interview. I’d just become aware of the skies that were vastly different than I remembered from when I was growing up.

When I was a kid, I’d lie in the grass and look up. I saw the white jet contrails that evaporated in the clear blue sky within seconds. I was now seeing what looked like contrails but they didn’t disappear — they thinned and spread out. They caused hazy skies, and often, strange cloud formations. Sometimes skies would be completely criss-crossed with these lingering emissions.

Schloss mentioned the components of these new contrails and a remedy. And she made the antidote herself — simple devices of quartz crystals, copper coils, and metal shavings, sealed in resin.

After seeing that interview, I decided that I, too, would make orgonite. But it took me until 2016 to begin.

I started pretty simple. Silicone molds were recommended so I found some online. Early on, I found most of them through baking companies. Now there are molds specifically for resin. Little Windows is great for pendants, eBay has different sizes of pyramid molds.

At a rock shop, I found quartz crystals, a locksmith provided metal shavings — and later, I found more interesting shavings online. The finer shavings are great, but I like the larger shavings too for esthetics.

The craft section of JoAnn’s Fabrics or Michael’s provided different gauges of copper wire for making coils. Amazon sometimes has great prices. I found tools for wire work, along with epoxy resin and I was in business.

After working with the basics, I learned about the properties of different gemstones and added things like shungite, citrine, peridot, lapis, turquoise, bloodstone, amethyst and pyrite. I generally did a capstone of apophyllite, a beautiful and powerful stone for clearing negative energy. Selenite has a celestial energy and I used it in just about all of my pyramids.

The Science of Orgone
Some call it prana. Some call it qi, zero point, universal life energy. The Force. It’s also known as orgone, but whatever you call it, it’s the essence of life.

In the 1930s and 1940s, Dr. Wilhelm Reich, using a modified geiger counter, detected and measured etheric energy, which he called orgone. Dr. Reich found that stacking alternating layers of organic matter and inorganic matter would actually attract and collect chi. He built large boxes called orgone accumulators or “oracs.” These helped his patients with various ailments when they sat inside the box.

A more recent discovery is that mixing organic resin with inorganic metal shavings would work like Dr. Reich’s accumulators. A quartz crystal was added to the mix for its ability to collect, transmute and emit etheric energy.

Resin shrinks during the curing process, pressuring the quartz crystals, causing a piezoelectric effect through which the crystals become even more powerful. The addition of quartz creates a self-driven, continuously-operating, highly efficient negative to positive energy transmutation factory.

When orgonite is within range of frequencies that are inharmonious to the human body, it will efficiently and continuously transform the inharmonious into frequencies that are harmonious with the body.

Orgone heals, calms, encourages, protects. In addition to quartz, other crystals with their own specific purposes are added: for mental clarity, to protect, heal, forgive, love unconditionally, to attract blessings, strengthen families, harmonize environments, and attract abundance.

Though my orgone-making tools and gemstones are stored now for the past couple of years, Liberty Forrest suggested writing about hobbies. This was a hobby for about five years.

It was fun and it was vexing. Sometimes I’d make things that I wanted to replicate but you’re working by the braille method. You can’t see what you’re doing and it’s always a surprise to remove a piece from the mold and see what you got. Sometimes there’s a real WOW, other times, duds. But no matter what, no two are the same.
